We have enjoyed our RECENT MEETING on 8th December on Ancient Rome and the Victorians with Quentin Broughall from Maynooth University in Ireland. There are now links to the Presentation and the full paper, both of which Dr Broughall has kindly made available to us.
The SECOND MEETING of new season was on Tuesday 10th November; We had a delightful and fascinating talk from Robert Andrews on the history and culture of the island of Sardinia.

Tim’s talk focused upon Lorenzo Da Ponte’s extraordinary life and career and in particular his collaboration, as librettist, with Mozart in the latter’s three great Italian operas, ‘The Marriage of Figaro’, ‘Don Giovanni’ and ‘Cosi Fan Tutte’ from which extracts were played.
